Vintage abalone shell and Alpaca silver leaf design Mexican  brooch . The brooch is formed from alpaca silver in a leaf shape set with abalone shell. Secure roll over safety clasp. Circa 1980s - 90's .

Alpaca Silver, is not ' REAL ' Silver, that' s how its commonly referred to and known. It is made from alloy of Zinc, Iron, Copper and Nickel. It has properties like stainless steel and will not tarnish or rust, plus its hypoallergenic.
