Vintage small abalone shell and Alpaca silver Mexican made scorpion design brooch . The brooch is formed from alpaca silver in the shape of a scorpion set abalone shell pieces. Secure roll over safety clasp and additional bale so can also be worn as a pendant. Circa 1990's .
Alpaca Silver, is not ' REAL ' Silver, that' s how its commonly referred to and known. It is made from alloy of Zinc, Iron, Copper and Nickel. It has properties like stainless steel and will not tarnish or rust, plus its hypoallergenic.
- Approx 4.8cm by 2.2cm at the widest points
- Secure roll over safety clasp fastening.
- Signed Alpaca and Mexico faintly to the back of the brooch
- Good vintage condition, the larger abalone shell piece shows natural pitting .
