A vintage alpaca silver and abalone shell inlaid butterfly design brooch. The brooch is formed from alpaca silver in the shape of a butterfly set with alpaca shell slices to the wings. Circa 1980's - 90's.
Alpaca Silver, is not ' REAL ' Silver, that' s how its commonly referred to and known. It is made from alloy of Zinc, Iron, Copper and Nickel. It has properties like stainless steel and will not tarnish or rust, plus its hypoallergenic.
