Vintage Large Sphinx Faux Agate Marbled Porphyry Glass Set Modernist Design Statement Brooch

Vintage large faux marbled agate porphyry glass set brooch by Sphinx.  Formed from a gold tone metal rectangular shaped ornate design border set with a large marbled porphyry glass faceted stone.  The brooch is signed Sphinx A725 to the back.  Circa 1960's - 70's. 

Sphinx jewellery is a collectable vintage British UK Jewellery brand. The company was started in the late 1940′s by S Root and was based in Chiswick, London.  They were known for their well made, statement costume jewellery pieces , producing a wide spectrum of styles and designs.

• Secure roll over safety clasp fastening.
• Signed Sphinx and A725 manufacturers number to the back.
• Good vintage condition.
