Vintage large ornate design porphyry glass set brooch by Sphinx. The brooch is formed in an ornate scrolling design set with a porphyry glass marbled stone. Signed Sphinx in a cartouche to the back. Circa 1950's - 60's.
Sphinx jewellery is a collectable vintage British UK Jewellery brand. The company was started in the late 1940′s by S Root and was based in Chiswick, London. They were known for their well made, statement costume jewellery pieces , producing a wide spectrum of styles and designs.
